With the deepest sadness, the executive team of OMICRON electronics regrettably informs you of the accidental death of its founder Rainer Aberer and his wife Sharen Seversen, President of OMICRON electronics Corp. USA. Both died in a tragic plane crash in Texas (USA) at the end of last week. Both were enthusiastic private pilots and flying their Cessna 182 when the accident occurred. Authorities are still trying to determine the exact cause of the plane crash.

Rainer Aberer founded the company in 1984 and acted as CEO for 16 years. In the year 2000, he handed over his responsibilities to an experienced management team and enthusiastically dedicated himself to the creation of new and promising business ideas like the development of the unique learning software "MemoryLifter".
